Job summary

The Iowa Clinic in Central Iowa is seeking a Cardiology RN to join our patient-centered team. You will provide professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and procedures specific to cardiac care.

You will assist with cardiac stress testing, support provider triage, and help formulate an initial plan of care based on assessments. You will spend meaningful time with patients, listen to their concerns, and ensure they feel

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Iowa required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
• Strong patient communication and teamwork skills.

A day in the life…

Wondering what a day in the life of aCardiology RNat The Iowa Clinic might look like?

• Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
• Provides professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office hospital procedures
• Assess patients during Cardiac Stress Testing
• Assist provider(s) with patient triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment data
• Spend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know them
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued and cared for
• Leave in the evening – hooray for working standard clinic hours!

Required License/Certifications:

• Must be licensed as a RN by the State of Iowa
• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification

Qualifications

• Previous Cardiology experience
• A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling career
• Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses and treatments
• Exceptional patient skills
• The ability to prepare and maintain records
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
