Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in implantable cardiac devices within the Heart & Vascular - EP Lab. You will perform interrogation, evaluation, and reprogramming across vendors and provide patient education with EMR/Paceart documentation.

The role emphasizes adherence to HRS/NASPE standards, collaboration with electrophysiology specialists, and ongoing integration of new pacing technologies. Day shift, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Must be an RN with Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Prior experience in cardiology/electrophysiology.
  • 5+ years cardiology experience, preferably electrophysiology.
  • Experience with implantable cardiac devices and device interrogation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs interrogation, evaluation and reprogramming of all manufacturers’ models of cardiac rhythm management devices.
  • Reviews remote, telephonic and in-office evaluations and documents according to protocols.
  • Provides patient and family education with documentation in EMR and Paceart.
  • Adheres to billing guidelines and promotes interoffice relations.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments and enters data into Paceart.

The RN must be able to demonstrate the professional nursing skills to evaluate patients with arrhythmias and the technical skills to evaluate patients with cardiac rhythm management devices as well as the ability to program settings and troubleshoot in collaboration with electrophysiology specialists. This position requires highly specialized knowledge of various manufacturers and models of these devices and their functions along with the ability to acquire, maintain and integrate new technologies as they evolve. Promotes quality patient care by adhering to HRS and NASPE standards of care. Triages phone calls and completes programming orders according to established protocols. Performs interrogation, evaluation, and reprogramming of all manufacturers models of cardiac rhythm management devices. Reviews remote, trans-telephonic, and in-office evaluations and completes documentation according to protocols. Provides patient and family education with appropriate documentation in EMR and Paceart. Adheres to billing guidelines and practices and promotes positive staff and inter-office relations.
