Inova Fairfax Medical Campus - Schar Heart and Vascular is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for Cardiac Telemetry Weekend Premium to join the Cardiac Telemetry Unit North team. This full-time role includes day and night rotations (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN or AD. If RN has an AD, must complete BSN within 5 years and related plan.
• Experience: 1 year in critical care or CCU setting; one year in critical care setting or CC Fellowship.
• Certification: BLS & ACLS; Virginia RN licensure or multi-state license.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments and interprets data trends.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessments.
• Delivers patient care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides counseling.
• Coordinates care and transitions across disciplines.
• Documents all patient care activities per standards.
• Evaluates outcomes and revises plans of care accordingly.
• Makes clinical decisions based on experience and data, guiding the team.
• Communicates effectively and collaborates with the care team.
• Provides patient education and outcomes measurement.
• Acts as clinical resource, preceptor, and mentor; delegates duties as needed.
• Uses standards and pathways for care delivery and ensures integrated care delivery.
