Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in Kansas or compact license.
• Education: High School Graduate and ADN.
• Licensure and certifications: CPR/BLS; other unit-specific affirmations as required in some units.

Responsibilities

• Assess and educate patients and families; use teach-back to confirm understanding.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, nurses and other clinicians.
• Adhere to medication safety policies, including order writing and double checks.
• Perform needed nursing duties and participate in care planning and delegation.
• Demonstrate leadership in the unit and adapt plans as patient conditions change.
