Summary: The RN Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering competent, individualized nursing care to patients and families by utilizing the nursing process to augment the established medical plan of treatment. Operating with a strong team orientation, this nurse integrates sound clinical judgment and evidence-based decision-making to address the unique needs of each patient. The role emphasizes exceptional customer relations and professional communication, ensuring that care is delivered with both clinical precision and a high level of service excellence. By maintaining a focus on safety and collaborative practice, the RN Staff Nurse serves as a vital advocate for the patient while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the healthcare team.

3 South - Cardiac Stepdown Unit Cardiac Stepdown is a 14-bed, fast-paced unit. You will see a variety of diagnoses, including pre- and post- op congenital heart defect patients from the Cardiac ICU, post-cardiac catheterization, and telemetry overflow patients. You will provide care to patients with central lines, pacemakers, chest tubes, high-flow nasal cannulas, and occasionally tracheostomies, as well as home ventilators.

Shift: 7p - 7a

Education/Experience

• 1 year of direct nursing experience required.
• Associate's in Nursing.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

• Active, unrestricted TX Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS - American Heart Association.

Post hire Req:

• PALS or NRP and specialty certifications per unit guidelines.
