The community you’ll be caring for:

  • Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, AdventHealth Orlando, a 1,368-bed facility, serves as a major tertiary center for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean, and South America.
  • AdventHealth Orlando features one of the largest Emergency Departments and cardiac catheterization labs in the country.
  • We serve over 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients annually, making us one of the busiest hospitals in the nation.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and supervises direct and indirect nursing care to specific age groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating) to meet departmental goals. Complies with AdventHealth’s Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable regulations. Participates in outstanding customer service, maintaining respectful relationships with all.

  • NURSING PROCESS: Completes timely assessments including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. Makes appropriate decisions and interventions based on patient needs. Sets measurable goals and develops individualized care plans, adjusting as needed.   • NURSING KNOWLEDGE: Assesses and interprets diagnostic data relevant to patient age and condition, including labs and interdisciplinary notes. Applies knowledge of diagnoses, procedures, medications, and equipment related to the patient population.
  • PATIENT SAFETY: Ensures adherence to regulatory standards, infection prevention, and medication safety policies. Emphasizes patient teaching opportunities as part of the care process.
  • COMMUNICATION: Promotes an exceptional patient experience through compassionate, effective communication. Maintains thorough handoff and follows the chain of command when necessary.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Graduate of a nursing school
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate RN license
