Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Cardiac Rehabilitation in an outpatient setting. The role offers a daytime schedule, 36 hours per week, with five 8-hour shifts for Week 1 and four 8-hour shifts for Week 2, no nights, weekends, or holidays.

You will work with a cardiac care team to guide patients through recovery, educate on heart health and medications, and ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current RN license in Missouri or Compact State eligibility.
• Cardiac, cardiovascular, or telemetry nursing experience.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patients during cardiac rehabilitation activities.
• Assess patient progress and respond to clinical changes.
• Provide education on heart health, recovery, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Advocate for patient rights, privacy, and safety.

Position Overview

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current RN license in Missouri or Compact State eligibility
• Cardiac, cardiovascular, or telemetry nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire)

Preferred

• ACLS certification
• Previous Cardiac Rehabilitation experience
• Strong patient education and communication skills

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds regularly
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, and perform routine patient-care activities
