Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care and promotes positive patient outcomes through compassionate and efficient nursing practices. Working under general supervision, this role involves coordinating patient care via the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure optimal health services.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assess patient needs and conditions to deliver appropriate nursing care in the assigned unit, ensuring each patient receives necessary direct care.
  2. Analyze patient information, including medical history, diagnostic results, and current conditions, to develop individualized nursing care plans.
  3. Prepare and administer medications and treatments as part of comprehensive patient care.
  4. Reconcile medical records to maintain accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  5. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and identify additional care needs to meet care goals.
  6. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team for effective care planning.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing; Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Experience: Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse; Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
  • Licensure/Certification: Valid RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
