Job summary

Endeavor Health in Highland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse, Cardiac Imaging, for full-time work at the Rapid Consulting Center. Responsibilities include stress testing, care planning, patient assessment, and ongoing collaboration with physicians and the care team.

The role involves travel between Highland Park, Gurnee, and Glenview sites, on-call shifts, and adherence to HIPAA. RN licensure and BLS/ACLS certification are required; cardiac imaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Certification: BLS and ACLS required.
• Experience: Cardiac Imaging experience.
• Solid critical thinking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress testing.
• Develop a care plan to achieve outcomes and monitor progress.
• Collect patient health data and communicate with patient, family, and care team.
• Document health data, interventions, and communications.
• Provide patient and family education customized to learning needs.
• Collaborate with peers and support clinical education.
• Support pharmacologic and IV procedures with the care team.
• Assist in transporting acutely ill patients when needed.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse, Cardiac Imaging
• Location: Highland Park, Rapid Consulting Center
• Full Time
• Hours: 7:00-3:30, 7:30-4:00 or 8:00-4:30 (depending on site)
• Required Travel: yes, must rotate sites in Highland Park, Gurnee and Glenview
• On Call: One Saturday a month, 8 – 12 pm

What you will do:

• Perform stress testing
• Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes. Evaluates patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes, systematically revises diagnosis, interventions and expected outcomes as needed.
• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers. .
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family regularly respecting the patient’s wishes through acknowledgment of patient/family perceptions of health and illness and mutual goal setting for optimal outcomes. Communicates patient data to physician and interdisciplinary team as indicated to achieve patient care needs. Documents patient health data, interventions and communications.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs. Assesses patient’s cultural background, learning style, learning barriers, and modifies teaching plan accordingly. Provides teaching on disease management strategies, emergency care and drug information when appropriate. Identifies community resources to support patient self-management of disease.
• Interacts with and contributes to professional development of peers, students and other health care providers as colleagues.
• Shares knowledge, provides feedback and contributes to an environment supportive of clinical education. Assigns or delegates tasks as needed.
• Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support
• Provide assistance to technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, and administration of drugs, 02 therapy, and IV management.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and nursing research. Keeps abreast of research and practice trends in wound/ostomy/skin care through participation in professional networking, ongoing education, and self-directed learning activities. Supports staff in using research and providing evidence-based care
• Complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in the transporting of acutely ill patients as needed.

What you will need:

• Education: Nursing Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Certification: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Cardiac Imaging
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Solid Critical thinking skills, Prior Stress testing experience preferred
