Description

Join Baylor Heart & Vascular Hospital (BHVH) in Dallas as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac ICU and be part of something better!

1. Experience & Qualifications:
   • 2 years ICU experience required (cardiac ICU preferred)
   • BSN preferred
   • National Certification preferred (CVN, CCRN, etc.)
   • Minimum of 1-year recent, full-time ICU RN experience required
   • Registered Nurse (RN) license and BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days)
2. Schedule & Patient Population:
   • Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7PM-7AM, rotating weekends
   • Patient population includes Post Cardiology Interventional, Post Vascular Surgical/Interventional, Advanced Heart Failure
   • Unit features true Cardiac ICU with CRRT, Impella, Swan, AIBP, etc. (no open hearts, CABG, or ECMO)
   • All nurses must be comfortable caring for both ICU and Telemetry patients
   • Patient ratios: 1:2 ICU, 1:4 Telemetry
3. Responsibilities:
   • Conduct detailed clinical assessments and create care plans
   • Recognize health issues, prioritize needs, and evaluate responses
   • Educate patients, families, and staff to empower healthcare decisions
   • Collaborate with colleagues and community to develop care plans
   • Delegate tasks appropriately and follow up diligently
   • Utilize problem-solving strategies and recognize limitations to ensure safety and effectiveness
   • Contribute to team development and community service
4. Skills & Attributes:
   • Deep understanding of nursing standards, procedures, and laws
   • Proficiency in medical terminology and medication management
   • Respect for ethics and patient privacy
   • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
