Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a staff nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across all life stages, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate each patient’s needs.

The role requires Georgia RN licensure, BLS, and a commitment to quality care within organizational policies; new graduates are welcome, with hospital experience preferred for PRN roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• New graduates eligible; no experience required (Required).
• Hospital nursing experience preferred.
• 1 year hospital setting experience preferred for PRN.
• Current Georgia RN license (or NLC/eNCL multistate).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Advanced certification in specialty, if applicable.

Job description

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Work Experience
