Qualifications

  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
  • 3+ years of adult Med/Surg or clinic RN experience.
  • Ability to perform high-level nursing assessments.
  • Experience developing a plan of care with goals and documentation.
  • Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing and nursing processes.
  • Strong communication to convey assessment data.
  • Ability to work under fluctuating workload.
  • Ability to delegate tasks in a leadership-friendly manner.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and provide direct and indirect nursing care.
  • Deliver patient and staff education, including pre-procedure teaching and follow-up care instructions.
  • Prepare for and assist with medical and surgical procedures.
  • Administer medications, process medication refill requests, and coordinate authorization requests.
  • Assist providers and Nurse Practitioners with MyChart messages, patient callbacks, and ongoing care coordination.
  • Perform venipuncture, initiate and monitor IV infusions, and support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide immediate clinical support as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides age‑specific nursing care in an outpatient Cardiac Clinical Electrophysiology clinic through direct patient care and telephone‑based care coordination. Using the nursing process and collaborating with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare team members, the RN assesses patient needs, coordinates care, and documents all patient interactions in accordance with clinic and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments and provide direct and indirect nursing care.
  • Deliver patient and staff education, including pre‑procedure teaching and follow‑up care instructions.
  • Prepare for and assist with medical and surgical procedures.
  • Administer medications, process medication refill requests, and coordinate authorization requests.
  • Assist providers and Nurse Practitioners with MyChart messages, patient callbacks, and ongoing care coordination.
  • Perform venipuncture, initiate and monitor IV infusions, and support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide immediate clinical support as needed.

The RN practices in accordance with American Nurses Association (ANA) standards and participates in activities related to ethics, patient advocacy, evidence‑based practice, research, quality improvement, leadership, collaboration, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Salary Range: $65.76 - $97.76/hourly

Job Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BSN or MSN
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Three (3) Years or greater adult Med/Surg or clinic experience as an RN
  • Ability to complete a high‑level Nursing physical assessment
  • Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress
  • Knowledgeable in Medical‑surgical nursing and nursing processes application.
  • Skill in identifying problems and recognizing abnormal diagnostic findings and /or significant changes in patient’s condition.
  • Ability to modify treatment and approaches and explain rational to patient and families.
  • Ability to convey critical assessment data in a clear, concise manner to appropriate personnel.
  • Skill in organizing material and information in a systematic manner to maximize efficiency and minimize duplicate effort
  • Ability to work effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload and frequent interruption
  • Knowledge base to provide education to patients, families, and other staff regarding clinical and patient care issues
  • Ability to complete a high‑level Nursing physical assessment
  • Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress

Ability to delegate tasks in a management style that is consistent with promoting leadership and teamwork
