Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas or eligible to practice in Texas
• BLS and CPR certifications
• Minimum five years of professional oncology nursing or oncology nurse navigation experience
• Experience in care coordination and patient education within an oncology setting

Responsibilities

• Develop relationship with patient at first contact and schedule first appointment
• Assess patient and caregiver needs and identify barriers to care
• Coordinate referrals and appointments with multidisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families about oncology treatment plans and resources
• Document care plans and follow-ups in the electronic medical record and ensure timely communication
