Join Our Team as an RN Call Us First - Remote at Optum

Optum WA (formerly The Everett Clinic) is seeking a RN Call Us First to join our team in Everett, WA. Optum is a clinician-led care organization dedicated to transforming how clinicians work and live.

In this role, you'll provide telephone triage assessment to Primary Care patients, utilizing advanced telecommunications, information technology, and approved protocols. Your responsibilities include documenting calls accurately, offering excellent customer service, and collaborating with team members to assess and address patient needs.

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. during PST business hours, tackling meaningful challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide health advice via telephone using clinical expertise and approved protocols.
• Document calls promptly and accurately in the applicable system.
• Maintain documentation standards for legal and statistical purposes.
• Communicate effectively with a professional and pleasant phone manner.
• Assess situations independently, make decisions within protocols, and work collaboratively with team members.
• Ensure performance standards are met and accept constructive feedback.

Qualifications

Required

• RN license
• 3+ years of clinical experience (Med/Surg, critical care, ER, etc.), disease management, home health, discharge planning, utilization review, patient education, or telephonic nursing

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) certification
• 1+ years of Call Center Nursing experience
• Case Management experience

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $59,500 to $116,600 annually, based on full-time employment, experience, education, and other factors. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions.
