Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team, delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care in a high‑volume center with mentorship and education opportunities.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll assess patients, administer medications and wound care, educate families, and support recovery while upholding safety, quality and evidence‑based practice.

Qualifications

  • ACLS within 1 year of employment start date.
  • BCLS within 30 days of employment start date.
  • RN license.
  • Associate Degree or higher required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition and environment to recognize changes and ensure safety.
  • Perform procedures and medications administration, including pain relief and wound care.
  • Educate and support patients and families to navigate recovery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.

As a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll play a vital role in the healing journey of patients with a variety of burn injuries. With stays ranging from days to weeks, you’ll build meaningful relationships and witness powerful healing journeys. Partnering with a skilled team that’s deeply committed to this unique population, you’ll restore comfort and healing - caring for patients like family and improving lives every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
  • Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
  • Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
  • Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
