This is a full-time, day shift opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Burn ICU Team. We have 38 Burn ICU beds, part of the Joseph M. Still (JMS), the largest burn center in the United States, treating over 3,000 patients annually with one of the highest survival rates in the country.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll play a vital role in the healing journey of patients with a variety of burn injuries. With stays ranging from days to weeks, you’ll build meaningful relationships and witness powerful healing journeys. Partnering with a skilled team that’s deeply committed to this unique population, you’ll restore comfort and healing - caring for patients like family and improving lives every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
  • Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
  • Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
  • Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs
What qualifications you will need:
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • ASN/BSN required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is a 350-bed hospital that provides a wide range of medical services.
