Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, FL is seeking an experienced RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab. This role provides direct nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations and requires strong knowledge of complex medical histories and innovative surgical procedures.

The position is full-time with day shifts. Responsibilities include care planning, monitoring patient status, administering medications, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN) required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or ALS through the American Red Cross within 1 year of hire required.
• BSN preferred.
• Electrophysiology or Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Implement, monitor, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and coordinate discharges.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.

Requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) required.

Experience

• One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting OR licensed military RN experience required.
• Two years of critical care experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of employment required.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Electrophysiology experience preferred.
• Cath Lab experience preferred.
