The Registered Nurse position at Trinity Health Livonia Hospital delivers direct patient care on a designated unit during the night shift. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care using the nursing process.

5W: This 32-bed Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit provides comprehensive care for patients with a variety of psychiatric conditions, including depression, schizophrenia, mood disorders, psychosis, and more. Treatment is delivered in structured group settings within a therapeutic milieu, fostering engagement and recovery. The unit also provides post-ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) care, ensuring safe and supportive transitions for patients undergoing advanced treatments. Nurses in this environment play a vital role in promoting mental health, safety, and compassionate care.

SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the management of patient care during a designated timeframe.The responsibilities include coordination and evaluation of care, teaching and delegation of patient activities to the other health care team members via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and the environment.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associates degree in Nursing required. BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan required. BLS required. Previous medical surgical experience preferred. Must be computer proficient and have excellent customer service skills.
