Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System, a UHS facility in Desoto County, MS, seeks a Registered Nurse to join the inpatient unit on 12-hour shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) with rotating nights.

The RN provides professional nursing care within a multidisciplinary plan of care and may assume Charge Nurse duties as needed. Qualifications include an accredited nursing program graduate, MS RN licensure, and psychiatric nursing experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Mississippi RN licensure or multi-state license per NCSBN.
• One year psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes; CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit per the treatment plan.
• Prescribe, coordinate and delegate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Be accountable for assigned nursing activities on shift and promote professional practice.
• May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.
