Merit Health Central is seeking a Manager of Behavioral Health to lead the delivery of safe, effective psychiatric and behavioral health services. You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive quality improvement, and foster a therapeutic environment that supports patient recovery and staff engagement.

The role requires strong clinical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and departmental performance.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in a related field.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day behavioral health operations.
• Assess and plan age-appropriate psychiatric care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide staff education and competency development.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation.
• Maintain policy compliance and quality initiatives.
• Manage staffing and scheduling in coordination with leadership.
