Job summary

The Garnet Health Medical Center‑ Catskill is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Behavioral Health Services team. You will implement the nursing process, follow standards of practice, and ensure policy compliance while delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care.

Minimum requirements include NY RN license, BSN preferred, BLS, and crisis training; one year med/surgical experience is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and tuition assistance, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year medical/surgical experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Currently licensed and registered in NY State to practice as a professional nurse.
• Successful completion of BLS Provider Course.
• Must attend hospital crisis training program within 3 months of hire or transfer and annually thereafter.
• ANCC-Psych/MH preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement Nursing Process based on established Standards of Practice.
• Ensure all patient care policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with Garnet Health Hospital policies, the Nurse Practice Act, and NY licensure requirements.
• Exhibit critical thinking, effectively organize/prioritize, and implement evidence-based nursing.

Education

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
