Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an Assistant Program Manager Supervisor (Registered Nurse) to lead the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (MHRRTP).

The role oversees clinical and daily operations, develops program policies, and prepares essential reports for facility, VISN, and national use. Qualified candidates will be licensed RNs with ACEN/CCNE accredited nursing education and eligibility for VA nursing standards.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required for direct patient care per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
• Graduate of nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE at completion.
• May require bridge program for RN licensure before permanent appointment.
• Foreign nursing education may need degree equivalency validation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations and daily operations of the MHRRTP.
• Develop policies and procedures for program operations.
• Prepare reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use.
• Supervise mid-level supervisors and designated staff within treatment programs.
• Coordinate care focus on patient education, self-management, and satisfaction.
