RN Assistant Director of Nursing Job Summary:

Here at BridgePoint, the RN Assistant Director of Nursing Services complements the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, and supervising the activities of licensed and non-licensed personnel who provide healthcare and nursing services to Nursing Home residents. This position assists with the development and implementation of nursing services, objectives, policies, and procedures. The RN Director of Nursing will assist the facility in accomplishing its mission of assuring quality care is delivered at all times. In coordination with the Nursing Center Administrator, CEO, and DON, assess, plan, develop, coordinate, and direct customer satisfaction initiatives, meet all regulatory requirements, and uphold BridgePoint Standards.

The RN Assistant Director of Nursing develops and teaches modules in clinical and non-clinical areas pertaining to quality assurance, quality improvement, and infection control. The ADON serves as Day Supervisor but also functions in the ADON role off shift. This key leadership role is responsible for 24-hour reports, new orders, labs shared with families, doctors, and the leadership team. The RN Assistant Director of Nursing works with Human Resources and Staff Development to educate employees in standard precautions and injury prevention. This nurse leader ensures compliance with facility, local, and state standards, while also striving to better serve customers.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Master's degree in Nursing preferred but not required.
• Certification in Infection Control and knowledge of QI/QA preferred.
• Current DC RN licensure.

Experience: Must have experience and competency in quality improvement and the ability to work as a team member with diverse residents and staff.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered Nurse licensed in the District of Columbia.
• CPR certification required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and MDS-related software.
