Job summary

Touchstone Communities seeks an experienced RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to guide a large skilled nursing team in a high-demand environment. This hands-on leader will support daily clinical operations, mentor nurses and CNAs, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure high-quality resident care.

The ideal candidate holds an active Texas RN license, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and thrives in fast-paced settings.

We’re looking for an experienced RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who has successfully led large nursing teams (10+ team members) in a high-demand skilled nursing environment and values teamwork, presence, and leading by example.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who isn’t afraid to step onto the floor when needed, support their team during busy moments, and help create a positive, collaborative culture where nurses feel valued and supported. This nurse leader is a part of the on-call rotation.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the Director of Nursing to support daily clinical operations in a fast-paced skilled nursing setting.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of nurses and CNAs, fostering trust, accountability, and teamwork.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and provide leadership support during off-hours.
• Lead by example, stepping in to support floor staffing alongside the nursing team when needed.
• Promote clinical excellence, compliance, and compassionate resident care.

What We’re Looking For
