Job summary

Loma Linda University Health in Loma Linda, CA, is seeking a Clinical Nurse–Angio Specialist to deliver specialized nursing care for angiography and interventional radiology procedures on a full-time, on-site basis. This role emphasizes patient assessment, medication administration, sedation, and close collaboration with physicians and technologists to ensure safe, evidence-based care.

You will educate patients and families, document thoroughly in the EHR, and participate in quality improvement

Qualifications

• RN with strong clinical nursing skills in acute or critical care, including assessment, planning, and evaluation.
• Proficiency in angiography and interventional radiology nursing, including procedure prep and post-procedure recovery.
• Ability to administer and monitor medications, including conscious sedation, with hemodynamic/rhythm response.
• Effective communication and collaboration with physicians, technologists, patients, and families in fast-paced settings.
• Knowledge of patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards for invasive imaging procedures.
• Experience with electronic health records and basic computer tasks for clinical/documentation.
• Current CA RN license and BLS; ACLS preferred or required per unit.
• Experience in magnet-recognized or academic medical centers is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and prepare for angiography/interventional procedures.
• Monitor patient status during and after interventions and respond to changes.
• Administer medications and conscious sedation as indicated.
• Coordinate pre- and post-procedure care with the care team.
• Educate patients and families; document accurately in the EHR.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety culture.
