Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a RN Ambulatory - Vascular Surgery in Westlake, OH for a full-time day shift role. You will provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, assess health status, perform triage, create care plans, administer medications, initiate CPR, and support diagnostic procedures within the Vascular Surgery department.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN licensure with BLS certification; 1 year of RN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

What You'll Do

Requirements

Education:

Experience:

• One year of recent experience as an RN
• If current Cleveland Clinic Caregiver in ambulatory setting, will consider current LPN, Medical Assistant, or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in lieu of RN experience.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
