Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus as an RN in the Ambulatory - Procedure role, where you will provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting and support a high-performing team in neurology.

You will assess health status, perform nursing assessments, administer medications, initiate emergency measures, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, continuous patient care. The shift is days, with 8:00am-4:30pm/7:00am-3:30pm, no weekends or holidays required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
  • Current state RN licensure
  • BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross
  • ACLS Certification within six months of hire (if area performs moderate sedation/cardiac testing)
  • One year of recent RN or related clinical healthcare experience in ambulatory setting or transitioning from Cleveland Clinic caregiver in ambulatory setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephonic triage, and establish care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
  • Notify physician/LIP of abnormal findings.
  • Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and patient care equipment.
  • Develop and document health education for patients and families.
  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and procedures as needed.

As an RN, you willassistfellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, frominitialintroduction to final send-off. A caregiver in thisposition worksbetween 7:00am and 5:00pm with no weekends or holidays required.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.

  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephonetriage,andestablishcare plans.

  • Administermedicationand treatments.

  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.

  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.

  • Assistwith specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeuticprocedures,and specialized patient care equipment.

  • Develop, evaluate,adaptand document health education and provide it to patients and families.

  • Cover other nursing roles within the department.

  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accreditedSchool ofNursing(Diploma,ADNor BSN program)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross

  • In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within six months of hire

  • One yearof recent experience as an RNORLPN, MedicalAssistantand/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experienceif applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role butremainingin the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting ORa current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor’sofScience inNursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
  • Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
  • Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
