Job summary

MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network in Tacoma seeks a Staff RN to join the Infusion Special Services team. This 0.8 FTE, day-shift role uses your nursing expertise in a multidisciplinary setting to care for pediatric patients and families.

The position requires WA RN license (MLS possible), BSN preferred, BLS and pediatric experience; IV therapy, central line experience and PEARS/PALS as unit needs. No relocation assistance is noted.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• PEARS or PALS certification as indicated by unit specific expectations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
• One (1) year acute care experience preferred.
• Previous IV therapy experience preferred.
• Central line experience preferred.
• Employee must provide automobile for use in their work and the employee must be able to comply with MHS Policy on Vehicle Use, Employee Owned.

Responsibilities

• You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis.
• You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff and members of the health care team.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
