Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN for an Ambulatory Oncology assignment in New Haven. This 13-week, day-shift role requires a valid nursing license and at least 2 years of nursing experience, with ambulatory and oncology exposure.

Expect phone triage and patient communication through the in-basket, plus education on treatment plans and meds. The nurse will coordinate care across tests, referrals, and appointments, supporting clinics and collaborating with the oncology team.

Qualifications

• Ambulatory/outpatient oncology experience required.
• Phone triage and in-basket management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to patient messages through the electronic in-basket.
• Provide patient education related to oncology diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Perform phone triage and determine appropriate follow-up or escalation.
• Coordinate care, including tests, referrals, appointments, and other aspects of the patient's plan of care.
• Support clinic workflows for a designated outpatient oncology team, aiding documentation and care coordination.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary oncology team to address patient needs and maintain continuity of care.
• Floating between specialties may be required.
• See oncology patients before, during, or after treatments, including follow-up, pre-operative, and post-operative care.
