Cleveland Clinic is looking for an RN to join the Adult Telemetry Unit at Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH. This is a full-time night shift position (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) with a local job opportunity ID 3196571950, live since May 19, 2025.

The 5M Neuro Med/Surg Unit at Mercy Hospital is a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Unit, caring for patients with neurological needs. It offers opportunities to learn and enhance nursing skills like IVs, NGTs, cardiac drops, and stroke care, preparing you for higher care levels such as ICU, CCU, or ED. RNs are encouraged to participate in practice councils and committees, learn the charge RN role, and precept new staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct nursing care
  • Implementing, monitoring, and updating patient care plans
  • Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Following physician and nursing orders
  • Assessing and coordinating discharge needs
  • Educating patients and families

Minimum qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school
  • Current RN licensure in Ohio
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
  • At least one year of current acute care RN experience (military RN experience considered)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
