Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Adult Co-Occurring Disorders Unit in Towson, MD. You will perform a full range of psychiatric nursing duties, administer medications, and provide psychosocial support to patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must possess current RN license in Maryland (or compact state) at appointment and maintain licensure.
• Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred.
• Comprehensive nursing knowledge gained from inpatient RN experience; LPN years equate to RN experience as described.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of professional psychiatric nursing services per treatment plans.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to Mental Health Workers or paraprofessional staff.
• Document and report patient progress to the treatment team.
