Atlantic Coast Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing the nursing department and ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care for our residents in New Jersey.

The ADON will coordinate infection prevention, oversee staff training, and assist with regulatory compliance while maintaining an engaged, professional team focused on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in New Jersey.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or sub-acute setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department.
• Promote the highest level of quality, compassionate, and resident-centered care.
• Coordinate and monitor the facility’s infection prevention and control program.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies.
• Plan, organize, and conduct training programs and in-services for clinical staff.
• Support effective communication and collaboration among nursing staff and other departments.
• Assist with maintaining adequate and appropriate staffing levels based on resident needs.
• Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of nursing staff as needed.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with maintaining accurate clinical documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Promote a positive and professional work environment focused on quality resident care.
