Shorewood Behavioral Health Hospital in Madison, WI is seeking a clinically skilled admissions professional. You will facilitate admissions, conduct intake assessments, verify benefits, and coordinate with physicians and psychiatric staff to determine the appropriate level of care for patients.

This role includes on-site shifts with $40 starting pay, a $7,500 sign-on bonus, and shift differentials for nights and weekend nights.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Minimum one year of experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate admissions, clinical intake assessments, and utilization review processes to assure the appropriate level of care.
• Review medical documentation for admissions, complete medication reconciliation, and obtain admission orders from physicians.
• Facilitate emergency transfers for patients presenting with emergency medical conditions.
• Review referrals from hospitals and community agencies for medical and behavioral acuity and respond within policy timeframes.
• Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and collaborate with medical/psychiatric staff to ensure admissions.
• Coordinate care for patients not admitted and ensure follow-up care and referrals.
• Perform pre-authorization for treatment and admission and monitor status per policy.
