Job summary

The Center for Alcohol & Drug Treatment in Duluth, MN is seeking a skilled RN to deliver compassionate nursing care to patients facing addiction challenges. You will work with an interdisciplinary team including LPNs, Clinical Assistants, and counselors on a 2nd shift, 2:45pm-11:00pm with weekend rotations.

Responsibilities include medical administration, patient assessment, care planning, and supervision of staff, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold nursing license/certificate.
• Must be a Registered Nurse by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtained before direct patient contact.
• Pass background checks as required by state.
• Familiarity with 245F, 245A, 626.x regulations as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document health history; perform physical and mental health assessment.
• Identify health problems and develop care plans; refer to higher care as needed.
• Counsel patients and use therapeutic relationships to promote health.
• Coach patients and families on knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.
• Monitor medication use and ensure policy compliance.
• Supervise nursing staff and delegated medical functions.
• Support licensed practitioners with history and physicals.
