Job summary

Behavioral Health Group (BHG) in Minnesota is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to administer methadone, perform health assessments, and ensure medication accountability within a patient-centered addiction treatment program.

You will work Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM with rotating Saturdays, enjoy a schedule that avoids nights and Sundays, and participate in a team that supports recovery and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Maryland.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in chemical addiction or substance abuse treatment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer methadone and other prescribed medications in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct ongoing health assessments to identify medical needs and barriers to recovery.
• Evaluate patient readiness for dosing and provide timely clinical follow-up to support safe, effective treatment.
• Coordinate care with pharmacies, laboratories, physicians, and community providers.
• Partner with counselors and the interdisciplinary care team to support each patient's recovery journey and treatment progress.
• Maintain accurate dosing records and ensure medication accountability to protect patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Manage medication inventory in accordance with DEA, state, and organizational standards.
• Prepare and coordinate courtesy and vacation medication doses to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain clinical documentation and chart monitoring systems to support required physicals and laboratory testing.
• Build partnerships with community organizations and healthcare providers to expand access to treatment and long-term support.
