Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform direct patient care across Med/Surg, Telemetry and PCU units. You will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires a Texas RN license or compact, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Opportunities include float pool assignments and ongoing education support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry or PCU to float pool.
• Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
• Current AHA/ARC BLS provider certification.
• Current AHA/ARC ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care within the RN scope with emphasis on nursing process and outcomes.
• Determine health status and needs through interpretation of health data in collaboration with the team.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop nursing care plans.
• Implement care and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Provide education, emotional support and age-appropriate care to patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients directly or via delegation to team members.
• Evaluate responses and outcomes to therapies and adjust care as needed.
• Apply critical thinking to clinical data and current literature in decision making.
