Job summary

Nuvance Health's Danbury Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool. You will provide professional care, collaborate with the health care team, and manage patient needs during assigned shifts.

CT RN license is required; 1 year of medical/surgical experience is preferred. BSN and nursing certifications are desirable, with a 36-hour work week and evening/night schedule in the Danbury area.

Qualifications

• CT RN license required.
• One year of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Nursing certification and BSN desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments using the nursing process with the care team.
• Develop goal-directed plans based on diagnoses and outcomes.
• Provide care in a knowledgeable, skilled, and continuous manner.
• Prioritize patient care needs based on resources.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and patient progress toward outcomes.
• Identify learning needs and implement education for patient/family.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary functions.
• Fulfill compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
