Job summary

Meridian Healthcare in Gainesville, FL is seeking an experienced RN to provide patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced behavioral health setting. You will assess admissions, monitor progress, administer medications, and contribute to treatment planning within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Florida is required.
Experience in behavioral health or inpatient settings is preferred.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills.
Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments, including admission, shift, and discharge evaluations.
Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions.
Administer medications and carry out physician orders safely and accurately.
Develop and update nursing care plans and contribute to overall treatment planning.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Provide leadership during shifts, including staff support and crisis response.
Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record.
Support patients and families with education, communication, and compassionate care.
