Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the 7E Cardiac Tele unit. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with day shifts (7a-7:30p) and every other weekend plus rotating holidays.

Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, maintaining competency, guiding staff, and ensuring patient safety. Illinois RN licensure and CPR certification are required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be needed within six months depending

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Maintains competency reflective of current standards of practice.
• Interacts with and mentors peers and colleagues.
• Upholds ethical provisions and integrates evidence-based practice.
• Assures patient safety and guides staff in care delivery.
• Documents thoroughly and timely; performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Pay Range:

$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: RN - 7E Cardiac Tele
• Location: Chicago, IL
• Full Time (36 hrs/week)
• Hours: Days (7a-730p); every other weekend and rotating holidays required
• Required Travel: May float to other inpatient units as needed

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.
• Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
• Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
• Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm.
• Promotes safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
• Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care.
• Enhances own professional growth and development.
• Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations.
• Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

What you will need:

• Prefer at least one year of experience as a staff nurse.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
• Communicates effectively and is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
• Current Illinois Nursing licensure
• American Heart Association CPR Certification
• ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required within six months depending on the unit requirements
