Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Medical-Surgical unit on a weekend package in Iowa. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care on a Saturday/Sunday schedule, 7:00 am–7:00 pm, with 48 hours per pay period and four consecutive weekends, then every fifth weekend off.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, skilled nurse with BSN in progress or completed, current Iowa RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program
• BSN within 5 years of hire
• Current Iowa RN license
• BLS certification (or within 3 months from hire)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for medical-surgical patients
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies
• Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols
