FT RNs $5000 Sign On Bonus! Nights - 7p-7a

Location: Riverview Behavioral Health in Texarkana, AR.

Rates starting at $38/hr.

RiverView is the premier psychiatric center in Texarkana, Arkansas, providing comprehensive inpatient mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults. Our 62-bed hospital specializes in behavioral health and chemical dependency treatment for adults, geriatrics, and adolescents (ages 11-17).

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assess physical and behavioral health needs of patients, develop and implement nursing care plans, maintain medical records, and educate patients and families about health conditions.
2. Provide nursing care within the scope of practice as defined by state Nurse Practice Act, policies, procedures, and protocols.
3. Ensure physician’s orders are accurately transcribed and legible, especially for verbal orders.
4. Continuously assess patient status, document pertinent information, and notify physicians of significant changes such as detox difficulties or medical emergencies.
5. Develop and update nursing treatment plans based on initial assessments and ongoing evaluations.
6. Follow universal precautions to ensure safety in patient care.
7. Administer medications accurately, document controlled substance administration properly.
8. Complete admission and discharge processes efficiently and accurately.
9. Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients by respecting boundaries and providing attentive, professional care.
10. Coordinate and direct unit activities as needed.
11. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and team members.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Prefer at least one year of clinical nursing experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current Arkansas RN license.
• First Aid, CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certifications (training provided upon hire).
