Job summary

NCH Naples is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 5th Floor North Naples campus, Ortho/Med-Surg Women's unit. The RN provides direct patient care, plans and evaluates nursing care, teaching patients, and participates in shared decision making and quality improvement.

This full-time role requires Florida RN licensure and BLS certification. Join a private-room 32-bed unit focused on diverse adult care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care through discharge

Qualifications

• Licensed RN or APRN in the State of Florida.
• BLS certification required from recognized American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• RN Residency Program available for new to practice nurses.
• Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows.

ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT at NCH

The 5th Floor Ortho/Med-Surg Women's unit is an all private room 32 bed unit at our North Naples campus that provides care to adults who are hospitalized with a wide variety of conditions, including general medical, orthopedics and women's health. Our caregivers also prepare patients for surgical procedures and provide post-surgical care required until the time of discharge.

JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse independently plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care, policy, and procedure. Provides direct nursing care to patients, assumes teaching and leadership responsibilities. Participates in shared decision making, unit committee and quality improvement activities. Needs minimal supervision.

• Collaborate with patient, family, the inter-professional team, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

All new to practice RN will be placed into the RN Residency Program.
