Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. in Frederick, MD, seeks a registered nurse for the 4A Telemetry unit caring for adults with advanced cardiac conditions and post-procedure patients. The role involves independent nursing processes, teaching, and adherence to high standards of patient care.
The position is full-time, with three 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m.–7:30 a.m.) and weekend/holiday rotation; pay ranges from $35.02/hr to $52.00/hr plus comprehensive benefits.
4A is a fast-paced, 18 bed Telemetry unit serving an advanced cardiac population, mainly those schedules for inpatient or outpatient advanced cardiac and cardiac cath procedures.
We care for adult patients specifically but not limited to new pacemaker/AICD placement, cardiac catheterization due to NSTEMI or STEMI, active chest pain, acute arrythmias, acute heart failure, pericarditis/myocarditis, respiratory monitoring, and more.
The unit maintains high-quality patient care by adhering to the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines for our Coronary Artery Disease STEMI and NSTEMI population and the Cardiac Interventional Center by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System (MIEMSS).

Job Summary
Supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.
Independently provides patient care using the nursing process and performs leadership and teaching duties necessary that supports effective patient care. Supports and participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Functions within the limits of the State and Federal licensing, regulatory bodies and hospital policies.

The following certifications are required for the nursing units specified. Each certification must be completed within 1 year of hire.
§ 2C (Oncology/Thorasic) – Chemotherapy
§ L&D, OB/OR – NRP, C-EFM w/in 3 years
Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills in providing appropriate care/contact for patients in the following age groups * This would be based on designated patient population for each nursing department.
Physical Demands:
Medium-Heavy Work – Lifting up to 100 pounds on an infrequent basis (less than one lift every three minutes) and/or carrying up to 50 pounds while walking. Pushing or pulling up to 115 pounds infrequently or greater than 115 pounds occasionally (no more than once per hour).

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.
Pay range: $35.02/hr Min - $52.00/hr Max
Associates or better in Nursing.
