Job summary

CarolinaEast Health System is seeking a Staff Nurse in New Bern, NC to implement the Nursing Division's standards and policies under the Nurse Manager. You will provide direct patient care and serve as a charge nurse as required for the shift.

The RN must graduate from an approved school, hold an active North Carolina RN license, and maintain AHA BLS certification while delivering compassionate care and collaborating with the care team to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an NCBON approved School of Nursing and/or graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current RN license with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or Compact License recognized by the Board.
• Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing.
• Ability to relate effectively to patients, families, physicians, staff, and others using proper communication channels.
• Recognize the importance of being a professional role model for others.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care to patients on the unit(s).
• Maintain current AHA BLS certification.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for implementing the philosophies, objectives, standards of care, and policies and procedures of the Nursing Division under the direction of the Nurse Manager. The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care and functioning as a charge nurse according to the Nurse Manager's expectation for an assigned shift.
