UF Health Leesburg is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care to deliver comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients within a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, clinical judgment, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team.

Ideal candidates will hold a Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, with strong assessment and critical thinking skills supporting safe, patient-centered outcomes.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.

The Critical Care RN demonstrates strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year or more of recent Critical Care, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Progressive Care, Emergency Department, or related acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience caring for patients requiring advanced monitoring, ventilator management, and vasoactive medication administration.
• Strong assessment, communication, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
