Unit Description:

2 East is a 49-bed general medical/surgical telemetry unit providing care to adult and geriatric patients with a wide variety of acute conditions and multiple comorbidities.

Preference will be given, by seniority, to nurses who were serially displaced within the 18 months following their displacement according to MNA contract section 9.4 (f)(1).

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Massachusetts RN License
• Evidence of Continuing Education
• Prior RN experience required; Med Surg experience preferred
• Current Telemetry experience or ability to pass Telemetry Competency Exam within 90 days of start
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Effective time management and communication skills

Recommended Requirements:

• Documented professional development activities
• Knowledge of Critical Paths
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• AHA ACLS certification preferred

As with all assignments, staff may be floated to areas where needed.
