Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, SD is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a multidisciplinary team. You will provide nursing care, collaborate with doctors and support staff, and adapt to rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

This role offers a pay range of $32.50–$48.50 per hour, eligible sign-on bonus of up to $15,000, shift differentials, and access to patient loan repayment programs to support your career growth.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice; must be able to obtain hire.
• Excellent communication and teamwork required.
• 1–3 years clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and coordinating with the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by assessing patients and documenting conditions.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Evaluates patient care by measuring outcomes and adjusting care plans.
• Maintains infection control, medication handling, and safety standards.
• Documents patient care in charts and department records.
• Keeps equipment and supplies ready and functioning; performs preventive maintenance.
• Collaborates with leadership to maintain clinical competencies.
