Job summary

TEEMA is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a long-term contract at the Arizona State Veteran Home in Tucson, AZ. The role emphasizes geriatric, long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience in a fast-paced team serving Veterans.

Shifts are 12 hours, 6:00am–6:30pm, with responsibilities including medication administration, nursing assessments, MDS care planning, and supervision of CNAs when acting as Charge RN.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Weekend availability required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in geriatric, LTC, rehab or post-acute care preferred.
• Familiarity with MDS and care plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments within RN scope of practice.
• Complete nursing assessments and assist with MDS care planning.
• Monitor residents’ medical, physical, and psychological conditions.
• Participate in shift reports and interdisciplinary communication.
• Supervise and support CNAs and licensed staff when acting as Charge RN.
• Assist residents with ADLs when necessary.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and nursing records.
• Participate in staff development and in-service training programs.
• Utilize AMS concepts for process improvement and problem-solving.

Schedule
