Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the IAH Detention Facility in Livingston, Texas. We seek a dedicated nurse to provide essential detainee care on 12-hour shifts, day 6am–6pm and night 6pm–6am, on an on-call PRN basis.

Responsibilities include medication administration, medical record documentation, and collaboration with physicians. Texas nursing license and CPR certification are required to ensure compliant, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Current Texas nursing license or compact state license.
• CPR certification required.
• Must practice within Texas State Board of Nursing scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Attend sick calls with physicians to see detainees and prepare examining room.
• Call physician for medications and treatment orders and emergencies.
• Administer medication and document treatment accurately.
• Assess detainees with illnesses or injuries and refer to emergency as needed.
• Maintain clean work area and follow sanitation methods.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of medical records.
• Observe HIPAA rules and complete documentation.
