Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks a licensed Registered Nurse to join the Bluebonnet Detention Center team in Anson, TX. We offer full-time and PRN opportunities with 12-hour shifts, day and night.

Pay starts at $42/hour for full-time and $39/hour for PRN, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time and a $4/hour shift differential. Benefits include medical/vision/dental, life/AD&D, disability, sick and vacation time, paid holidays, EAP, 401(k), and education assistance.

Qualifikationen

• Nursing degree or higher required.
• Current RN license in Texas or compact state.
• CPR certification required.
• Must work within Texas state board of nursing scope of practice.

Aufgaben

• Attend sick call with physicians to see detainees and prepare examining room/equipment.
• Call the physician for medication and treatment orders and other emergencies.
• Operate pill call, administer medication, and document treatment as required by policies and procedures.
• Examine/assess detainees and refer to emergency room as needed.
• Review medical files to ensure all services are documented.
• Closely monitor potential catastrophic illnesses.
• Provide health counseling and health education.
• Prepare/disseminate safety and accident reports.
• Take action in serious emergencies and incidents.
• Perform rescue functions and evacuate people from danger.
